For 2009 the award-winning Lincoln Navigator raises the standard by offering many desirable comfort and convenience options as standard equipment. Engine power is provided by Lincoln Navigator's 5.4-liter, 3-valve V-8 engine, producing 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 6-speed transmission has smaller steps between gears than a typical 4-speed automatic and thus provides better shift quality and quicker acceleration. With a wide 6.02:1 gear ratio and two overdrive gears (fifth and sixth), the Lincoln Navigator's 6-speed offers up to a 7 percent increase in fuel economy on the highway over a typical 4-speed automatic.
The newly available Rearview Camera System adds even more appeal for full-size SUV owners to help reversing and parking manouveurs. The new standard features include:-
a power liftgate, heated and cooled seats, THX® II- Certified audio system, and power folding third row seat. The rearview camera system, added to the Navigator's features for 2008, the rear-view image appears in the self-dimming rear view mirror once reverse gear is selected.
The new long-wheelbase model the Navigator L has an additional 25 cubic feet of cargo space. 15 inches longer than the regular model and offers this extra cargo volume behind the third row of seats

This package is available in four monochromatic exterior colours:- White Chocolate Tri-coat, Black Clearcoat, Vapor Silver Clearcoat Metallic and Stone Green Clearcoat Metallic. On the interior, the package includes unique black carpeting and floormats, Ebony black wood trim, Stone or Camel seats with black leather inserts and black piping with a Lincoln logo stitched into the headrests.
Three new exterior colors are available: White Suede Clearcoat Metallic, Vapor Silver Clearcoat Metallic and Stone Green Clearcoat Metallic.
