The best LPG system that should be used on American vehicles is the Sequential Fuel Injection. (SGI) This type of system will comprise of 1 electronic gas injector per cylinder, in the same way the vehicle has 1 electronic petrol injector per cylinder. The gas control systems on this type of conversion communicate directly with the vehicles original control system. At all times when running on gas the original petrol system is in control with the gas control system merely acting as an amplifier to power its gas injectors. This results in perfect drivability, fully automatic operation and full OBD and emission compliance. And as the system is sequential there is of course never any gas in the manifold, hence there is no chance of blowback or deviation in the system, as gas is injected straight onto the inlet valve in the same way as petrol.
